Cebu City – 5 people are dead after alleged members of Ozamiz gang tried to rob a Chinabank teller who was delivering money to a money changer at Robinsons Place Cebu early morning monday. What was supposed to be a routine delivery turned into bloody incident as robbers grabbed the bag containing 1.2 million pesos in cash while inside the mall. The robbers shot the teller and his security escort. The security escort was acting as a lookout was also shot by the robbers’ cohort outside the mall when he was about the respond to the commotion.
Police Officers 1 (PO1) Roy Ceniza and PO1 Elrich Jourdin Catacutan of the Mobile Patrol Group (MPG) who were in the vicinity of the incident were also shot at and got wounded. The 2 policemen were passing by the Fuente Osmena circle as they were bringing a man arrested for pick-pocketing to the Palace of Justice in the Cebu Provincial Capitol complex. The shooting incidents were reported immediately and Cebu City policemen were alerted. The quick response allowed some policemen to catch up with the robbers who were boarding a motorcycle in V. Ranudo Street. A shootout ensued resulting to the instant death of 2 robbers while the third suspect died at the Cebu City Medical Center. A fourth wounded suspect remains at large and is a subject of a manhunt.
The fatalities were security guards Leofer Etac and Lito Undag. The injured bank teller Lewin Surig is still recovering at the nearby Chong Hua hospital.
The bag containing the cash was recovered and there is on-going investigation to find out who is the mastermind of the crime and if there are other people involved. Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama said that he will extend assistance to all who were injured from the shootout.

Those criminals where funded by one of the politicians in Ozamiz. I have lived for more than 4 years in Ozamiz and know what they are doing. Very corrupt politicians…visit them and you can see their castle like houses.
